Responsibilities
• The role is part of the EME Region Pre-Sales team which sells and supports a broad portfolio of Video Solutions including Encoders, Multiplexers, IRD’s, Ad-insertion solutions, Multiscreen Video systems, EdgeQAM and other Cable Edge and video technologies.
• The successful candidate may be required to be the European product Specialist on a key solution set within the portfolio and therefore a key resource on all deployments of such technologies. The Solutions Engineer will work with the Sales team and Regional Partners to generate winning solution proposals and System Designs
• The Solutions Engineer will be able to effectively demonstrate Harmonic technical solutions on customer sites and be capable of running detailed technical workshops to deliver
• Must be experienced in working with highly technical solutions and understanding customer requirements and communicating requirements to product managers.
• The successful candidate should possess core technical skills across the range of products, so that he can present effectively at all technical levels.
• Good presentation, verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be able to work under pressure and independently, and be able to meet project deadlines for delivering quality solutions on time.
• Be prepared to travel to meet customers, mostly within the EME region and occasionally outside the region, to provide presentations and technical support on-site where required.
• Responsibilities include:
o Arrange demonstrations and trial installations
o Maintain up to date knowledge of company’s products and services
o Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, promote company’s products and services and to provide sales support.
o Liaison between customers, product marketing and engineering departments to assess product features and ensure system solution performance.
o Contribute technical information, itemised bill of materials, and solution diagrams for proposals, quotations and contracts.
o Participate in new product introduction plans.
o Maintain up to date knowledge base on industry news and trends, company’s products and services, and competitive landscape. This includes legacy, existing, and emerging technologies and product developments.
Required Job Skills: A minimum of 3 years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required in related industry pre-sales
Educational Requirements University level degrees in applicable Technical disciplines are preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
